Gull
Lake
There are two small lakes known as the Gull Lakes near Big Moose Lake. The trailhead to these lakes is
boat-access only from Big Moose Lake's "Inlet." This particular
photograph is of the Lower Gull Lake and is taken from a cliff near the
lake. The shot was made possible by the 1995 microburst storm that
devastated thousands of acres of Adirondack forest. The storm cleared many
of the trees off the clifftop, allowing me to scramble to the top to get
this beautiful photo.
