Raquette Lake

Raquette Lake is the second largest natural lake in the Adirondacks, behind Lake George. The region is quite frequenty used due to its proximity to Route 28. This photo was taken on April 26, 1998 from the summit of West Mt, during a 16-mile traverse from Big Moose Lake to Raquette Lake. This was a beautiful hike that I would not recommend to the inexperienced hiker. Blue Mt. is the prominent peak in the background.
